2025 Australian National Championships: Day 1 Results
Results on day 1 of the tournament from Striker Indoor Sports Centre and Seamer Indoor Sports Centre in Perth, Western Australia.

The 2025 Australian National Championships got underway yesterday in Perth with all four divisions in action.
Here is how the results panned out from day 1 of the Championships.
Open Men
After the first two rounds of play, Queensland are the only unbeaten side in the Men’s division. Their victories over South Australia and Victoria have lifted them to the top, whilst ACT and New South Wales are close behind, after fighting out a high-scoring tie in their clash.
Victoria round out the top four after an edging out Western Australia, who, along with South Australia, are currently winless.

Open Women
Reigning champions Queensland were upset by Victoria in the first match of the day, with the three-run win adding early intrigue to the Women’s division. The Lightning rebounded from the early loss though to defeat South Australia in the later session.
The South Australians had a big win over Western Australia in their earlier clash, whilst Western Australia defeated Tasmania. Both Tasmania and Victoria have a game in hand.

Under-22 Men
There were just four matches on day 1 for the Under-22 Men. Western Australia had a one-run win against Queensland, and were then on the opposite end of the same margin of defeat against New South Wales later in the day.
ACT had a comprehensive win against Victoria, whilst Queensland bounced back from their early loss to see the Victorians drop two games early in the tournament. ACT and New South Wales have a game in hand.

Under-22 Women
Each side had two matches on the opening day, with Queensland and New South Wales setting the early pace. Both teams came through undefeated, including comfortable victories against South Australia. ACT and Victoria both had a win apiece, whilst Western Australia and South Australia are yet to get on the board.
